What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you contact us and/or subscribe to our newsletter. You will be asked to enter your name and email address.
What do we use your information for?
The name and email address given on the Contact form will be used to send you a reply. The name and email address given on the Newsletter Subscription form will be used to periodically send you our newsletter. The newsletter will be sent out approximately once per month, although sometimes approaching meetings, special events and for important announcements, you may may receive a few more to notify you of any short notice cancellations, changes to locations or times etc.
Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future newsletter emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each and every email. You can simply click the blue link at the bottom of our emails to unsubscribe with immediate effect. If you have elected to receive text only emails, you can copy and paste the unsubscribe link contained at the bottom of the email into your Browser address bar.

How do we protect your information?
Our newsletter is managed and your name and email information is controlled by George Jopling (www.georgejopling.com). See below for contact information. This service is provided free of charge to the Society and is stored on servers forming part of George’s IT business. George is a long standing member of our Society.
All reasonable steps are taken to protect your information. You are reminded that only your name and email address are stored for the purpose of contacting you or sending out our newsletter. No sensitive information or passwords are asked for.
We use two essential system cookies to process our Contact form and Newsletter Subscription form on our website. When you enter data in these forms and click on the Submit button, the IP address used to submit the request is also stored for the safety and security of our website. This helps us to prevent any misuse and if necessary, report any inappropriate content.
You can block cookies in your browser. Please refer to the help menu of your browser for instructions about how to do this.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company or outside parties. It will only be used the purposes outlined above ‘What do we use your information for?’ We may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law.
Third party links
There are change ringing related links on our website to third party websites including: Associations, Societies and Resources etc. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
You agree to your data being stored (name and email address) if you enter your data in our Contact or Newsletter Subscription form and click on the Submit button. Newsletter subscribers will receive a verification link by email. If this link is not actioned, you will not receive a newsletter.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from our Newsletter email by using the link at the bottom of each email newsletter we send out. You can also unsubscribe by using the link contained in the original subscription confirmation email you received. Your addtional rights are shown above.
Periodically, we delete all data for unconfirmed newsletter subscription requests and users that have unsubscribed.
